animation from Project Dogwaffle?

Post by staigerman »

It would be awesome if EasyGif could receive image sequences from Project Dogwaffle, whether the free version 1.2 of the latest PD Pro 3.5, not from files (numbered file sequence) but directly. Both programs running, if an animation is created in Project Dogwaffle, allow EasyGif with a button "Get from Dogwaffle" to grab a copy of all frames in the animation. Note that it's 24-bit color in Dogwaffle, would have to find a way to convert to 8-bit for Gif format.

Dogwaffle can't save to animated Gif. It can save to image sequences in various formats. It can also batch-convert image sequences to Gif and many other formats. And it can save to AVI. I can also load these. Animations can be loaded into a brush (aka animated brush).

If would be awesome if EasyGif and Dogwaffle could talk together.

The SDK is at www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/sdk - Dogwaffle runs as an active X server, it's rather easy to connect to that and query width, height, frame count and the rgb and alpha channels. One line of code in a VB project connects to Dogwaffle. Others have done it with Delphi and other dev systems.
