Please try to follow these guidelines. This will help to receive faster and more accurate response.
  • Check the Support section of the corresponding product first. Chances are you will find your answer there;
  • Do not create new topics for already reported problems. Add your comments to the existing topics instead;
  • Create separate topic for each problem request. Do NOT post a number of non-related problem reports in a single topic;
  • Give your topic a meaningful title. Titles such as "A question," "Bug report" and "Help!" provide others no clue what your message is about;
  • Include the version number of the software you are using;

New Comment script

Post by trishahdee »

I would like to request that you revert back to the old way that html comments used to work. In previous versions I could highlight a line and click the "Comment" icon and the

Code: Select all

<!-- comment -->
would wrap what I highlighted in order to comment-it-out. This worked great.

The new comment script works the same EXCEPT if I have comments above and/or below the line I am commenting out. Many times the new comment script moves the highlighting to the beginning of the previous comment and goes down to the bottom of the lower comment and takes out the beginning and ending of those comments respectively. This is a real pain. I have to back up and then cut and paste the beginning and ending comment to the line I want to comment out.

I think it's just a case of the new comment script trying to be too user friendly. I like the old way much better.

There seems to be some kind of bug, I'll add it to the list.
