Trying weBuilder 2014 v 12
I'm trying the New From Template ruby rhtml file. I have the Ruby interpreter path set up in weBuilder and only just started with Ruby. I noticed weBuilder had a setting for it so I'm trying that since I want to learn Ruby. A normal ruby program works, but rhtml doesn't when I try to use New From Template > Ruby > "Hello World". I run that and see a blank web page with a blank source.
I'm running Ruby 2 on win 7, and supposedly erb, which interprets the <% stuff below, is already installed. I even tried require "erb" below the doctype, but all I get is a blank page when I use Tools > Preview. (My php wampserver is also set up and running a WAMP stack, but I'm not sure how weBuilder uses the port setting.)
What am I missing here? I'd like to get this going since my main interest in weBuilder was that it looked like it could do Ruby. I'm a rubynewbie with about zero knowledge, so I'm probably missing something obvious. Not to mention some parts of Ruby seem Windows unfriendly. Getting Rails installed right was a bear. Stuff just wasn't there that was supposed to be and I had to hunt it up.
Failed program below. As I said I also tried require "erb" although I'm barely sure what I'm doing since I just started in on Ruby ;')
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<title>Hello!</title>
</head>
<body>
<% print "Hello World!" %>
</body>
</html>
Result: totally blank page, including blank source view.

Re: webuilder rhtml not previewing
You need to use eruby instead of erb to preview the files in WeBuilder.
