Turn off Jump to URL when clicking in preview?

Post by bxm42 »

Is there a way turn off Jump to URL when clicking in preview?

I Know under Options Highlight URLs is a feature. But it does nothing to stop from opening new windows of URLs.
I don't want windows opening up. I just want to jump to that section of the code. B

As far as I know, there's no way to turn it off. Once you click on URL in browser or preview, you open that URL. This is the desired behavior because it is useful to be able to test if the links work correctly.

My problem is at work we Global generated Content Variables with our software. Meaning they look like ##Global.URL_StoreLocator## so a window pops up going no where. It's gets annoying when you want to work in areas that you have already added links. I guess I could make links the last thing to add in my creative process - but it seems it would be beneficial to others who like to use the preview to select from and would like to turn off jumping through to the URL. If this could be easily implemented - that would be great. B
