Folder/Project visual guide

Post by G-Sun »

FR: When opening files with same name,
from different projects or folders,
it would be very helpful with some visual indication of where the file belongs.
Maybe just a color for similar project-location on top tabs?

How do you imagine it, with the colors being assigned randomly or as defined in project settings or something else?

Mm.. I think subtle different colours for the tabs

The easiest one is based on different project.
(BTW: Auto-changing open project ftp/folder is an FR too)

Then, for different folders in same project, there could be different solutions.
#1 Always use different tab-colour for different folders
#2 Only use different tab-colour if two identical named files are open.

Then, for a combination
same project could have shades of gray changing
different projects could have amount of hue change.

BTW: I really like what look like a vision for WeBuilder. It's not the typical bells and whistles, but many very useful, small and big, serious tools for making and managing web-projects. Thanks!
