Windows 7 - 64 bit

Hi,
I'm testing Windows 7 64 bit at the moment and I think ScreenSaver Wonder 4.8 does not support it. I'm getting an error message 'File does not exist' when the screensaver kicks in. When I double click on the .scr file it's working fine. Do I need to use version 5?
Please advise.

This might as well be a different kind of problem. You should try the free trial of 5 and if the problem persists in your case, please contact our support.

I'm having the same kind of problem. Im using Screensaver Wonder 6 which is supposed to support Windows 7. We've deployed our screensaver to all PC's but only those running Win7 64bit appear with the error "I/O Error 103" and do not display the screensaver. XP/Win 7 32 bit PC's are fine and display the screensaver.

Any help on this would be much appreciated as it's driving me a little nuts!

Are you by any chance installing these screensavers to Windows\System32 folder? Please refer to http://kb.blumentals.net/kb/index.php?V ... ntryID=127 for more info.

For starters there are 2 types of Windows - 32bit and 64bit. 32bit applications will run on both while 64bit applications will only run on 64bit Windows, and for this reason screensavers are 32bit applications.

On 32bit Windows there is one system folder - system32 but on 64bit Windows there is system32 which (confusingly) is used by 64bit applications and SysWow64 which is used by 32bit applications. So if you really want to install screensaver to system folder, use SysWow64 on 64bit Windows and system32 on 32bit Windows.

All of this is very complicated mostly thanks to the Windows design, so we suggest to use a different folder (Windows or Program Files) instead.
