Hi, I looked through the forum and wiki/online documentation.
The old set of guidelines is no longer accessible.
What are the suggested best practices for image size/resolutions today?
Is it best to make a few sizes? On e for widescreen ratio and one for the older 4/3 ratio?
Many of my images have text so this affects readability.
Thanks for any advice.
Chris
Image/Resolution Sizes
Re: Image/Resolution Sizes
According to the latest statistics, the most popular resolution is 1366x768 (according to our internal statistics, from Windows computers 30% use 1366x768, 15% use 1920x1080, 13% use 1024x768, 8% use 1280x1024).
Whether or not you need 2 versions for different aspect ratios you can try to judge by the statistics: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp or http://www.w3counter.com/globalstats.php
Maybe the way to go is to make screensavers that look good in any resolution (.i.e. less emphasis on text).
