Change of focus

Post by HeadElf »

I like having my file explorer open when I work. Why does the focus jump to the file explorer when I'm trying to do editing and hit the left arrow key to move my cursor in the text on the page I'm working on? This one's so weird I don't even know how to do a search to see if anyone has had the same problem.

I have never heard about such behavior before. Let's try to find out...

Does this happen always or only after you have clicked inside the File Explorer first?

Do you use standard English keyboard or something specific to particular locale/language?

Have you customized keyboard shortcuts in any way?

I have no keyboard shortcuts, and I am working in actually in the scripting of the file doing editing. The file explorer window is open to the left of my document window. The arrow keys used in succession cause the focus to jump from the file I'm editing in the document window to the file explorer window.
