In one of my plugins, I use "Script.Status" to output text in the Editor statusbar.
When I invoke the plugin using hotkey, the text is displayed correctly and is removed again when I move the cursor outside the editing panel.
But when I invoke the plugin from menu, the text is instantly removed. (Maybe because the editing panel is not active at this time?)

Bug: Problem with "Script.Status" in plugins

Re: Bug: Problem with "Script.Status" in plugins
It's because every time the cursor is moved over various elements, it displays Tooltip information in the statusbar. All toolbar/menu items have tooltips so that's probably why. You should probably only use Status text only where this does not get in a way.
