I am wondering if I can protect my work like an xl sheet as well. If I make an animation and send it by email to someone, can I protect it so no one el can modify my work? Like giving a password to an xl sheet.

Unfortunately GIF image format does not provide any means of protection, thus it is not possible.

I actually found a software that will place a watermark over the entire work. It would be nice to have a word document protect function withing the gif animation software, but I guess the watermark can do.

Yes a watermark is a fine solution. Probably we will include this feature in the next versions of Easy GIF Animator.
