Saving in Unix format

Saving in Unix format

Is there a way to save files in the Unix format instead of the windows/DOS format?

It's not a huge problem with my ISP at the moment, but it was with my previous server, so it would help if there was a way of changing it.

I have now discovered that files are changed dynamically during the FTP process if the file is transferred using ASCII mode. :D

Better Windows - Unix format handling is added to the list. I will see what can be done about this. Thanks for reminding!

Has the situatoin changed?...... still seems to use dos format when saving

It is still in the todo list with average priority which means eventually it will be done. Nothing is forgotten.

Any new on this? As of WeBuilder 2010 v 10.02 it looks like UNIX format save is still not managed?

Hi,

You can specify the encoding you want to save your files in under Main Menu; Options; Preferences; option group "Files"; General; look for option "Save files in".
