how to view column #'s

how to view column #'s

I use webuilder2.6 and I'm messing around with ascii flat files. How can i view the column number? I can always see the line number , just can't seem to find the view column number option!

In the lower left corner is 2 numbers separated by a ':' character. The numbers are line:column. So for example, 4:18 means the cursor is on line 4 column 18.

I don't think WeBuilder has a ruler option if that's what you're looking for, but you can set it to 'Show Right Margin' at a particular column and it will display a grey line there in the editor, That's in the 'Options\Preferences\TextEditor\View' property page.

I'm using WeBuilder 6.3, so this information might not apply to version 2.6.
