Overlapping pictures

I put different size pictures on a slide and I can't resize all of them to the same size as some of them are horizontal pics and the rest vertical. How can I put them on a slide so they don't overlap eachother. I can't figure out how to make all the pics appear on the slide without having parts of the other pictures showing up when one pic is playing.

For the moment, I resize and position each frame separately in my photo editor before to incorporate them in an animation, but that is only a provisional solution before I understand all from the software. But if meanwhile it can help.
