Online Game - Call Of Duty

Post by Circadian »

Hi
I downloaded & installed the trial version of iNet Protector to evaluate the ability of this program to limit my son's access to online games - in particular Call of Duty-United Offensive. I was impressed to find that 'disabling the internet' prevented access to MSN Messenger and surfing via Internet Explorer but was astounded to find that he was still able to play COD-UO online.

This program appears to have the scheduling features that I require but unfortunately does not appear to block the online gaming activity - the singular program feature that I most desire & require. Surely I've made an error in the setup?

I have also noticed that the program fails to block the "All Seeing Eye" program which he uses to source available online game servers. Please help or I'll end up with a son who has square eyes and permanently twitching fingers.

Many thanks in advance.

Apparently this game has built in hacks or special structure to circumvent protection systems. We will take a look, and probably will fight back with a solution from our side.

Is this "All Seeing Eye" a freeware program that we could obtain somehow? If you could provide us with it, we could examine it and figure out what prevents iNet protector from blocking it.

Thank you firstly for your replies - very much appreciated.

A trial version of "All Seeing Eye" is available free from the following link http://videogames.yahoo.com/multiplayer. Although slightly less featured than the full version this is the one which I, and most online gamers, use.

Good luck - I look forward to your further comments.

Kind regards

Please let us know what version of iNet Protector are you using, is it 2.5?

We will be testing this, it could take a week or so and then get back to you.

Hello Karlis

As you suspected, it is indeed the 2.5 Version of iNet Protector.

I wish you well in your quest for a solution.

Kind regards & best wishes
