save to FTP

Post by Doctor49152 »

Silly question? Is there a way I can save a file to FTP and localy at the same time?

I was doing some work, uploading my file to my website when I hit ctrl-s. Everything was working fine but when I restarted my machine and loaded up the project all my files were unchanged. Had to download from my FTP site?

So is this a silly question?

It's not a silly question. It's been requested before. I don't think there is currently a way to do this.

Folder Synchronize one day...?

There is an icon in my rapid labeled Save and Upload file to FTP. Is right to the save all...

Is this what you are looking for?

I gave up using this. After going back and forth between tab is started forgetting where I wanted the files saved on the FTP server. Even though it was in the same directory structure locally.

Went back to using Filezilla.

I don't understand.
Will that feature not save the file in the same relative location as locally?

I use both normal Save and Save to FTP every time & no directory problems.

Make sure you have defined a project, then any files in sub-directories will be saved to the same relative directory via FTP.

I'd guess that without a project defined, there is no reference to know what's the base directory or a subdirectory.
