Bug Report, Rapid PHP 2006 Cut and Copy Issue

When I highlight any text and try to copy or cut I get a "Cannot Open Clipboard".

I am using the latest version 7.1.0.67

Not sure what changed from Rapid PHP 2005 to Rapid PHP 2006 but the latest version has a few misc bugs.

I am still using Rapid PHP 2005 till the kinks get worked out.

I'm having the same issue with WeBuilder 2006. It seems to be happing quite a bit today and it is quite intermittent. It will work off and on, but this is very frustrating.

Hm, I am not able to repeat this behavior. I have a question on which I need precisa enswer:

Does this happen when Extended clipboard is open or closed?

Probably it is something connected with that. The functionality was changed in version 2006 to support pasting Unicode texts.

hi,

i have the same problem. i'm evaluating version 7.02. i don't use the extended clipboard.

but it seems to me more a combination of problems of rapidphp and that special installation of the os. i'm using win xp sp2 on a pentium d. i have tested it on another machine with the same software configuration and there are no clipboard errors.

sometimes you can passing by if you wait a second before you try to use the clipboard - but it's very frustrating.

This could be connected with some other program. If you try closing all other programs and especially any clipboard managers, do you see an improvement?

I do not use any clipboard manager and closing all other programs is impratical. As marcbau said, if you wait a few seconds, it may work, but that is still very annoying. How do you disable the extended clipboard? I have it open but don't use it much (I use the Full layout).

You disable it by closing and restarting the program so that it does not show up at all.

Still not sure what you mean. I tried selecting it from the Edit menu but no change. This is getting very frustrating.

Bugger. :? Yes, I meant try closing the clipboard panel and then restarting the program. And tell us whether the problem persists. If not, then we will know for sure that fault is to be searched in the clipboard panel.

Okay, I closed the extended clipboard and restarted and I still got the error.

i really like the software and bought it, but sometimes - grrr.... i can't work with it if i can't use the clipboard.

every third or fourth action (strg+c or strg+x) the error 'cannot open clipboard' pops up. sometimes i have to wait two or three seconds to get the content into the clipboard, sometimes i can ignore the error, because if i try to paste the content its already in the clipboard, sometimes i have to leave the application (set the focus on another application) and go back to use the clipboard....

i don't use the extended clipboard - i believe its easier and faster to copy again then to search in a list - and i have the clipboard panel not open. but if i check that panel it collects the content. perhaps it could be a solution to disable the extended clipboard permanent and completly in the preferences.

by the way: on another machine with the same software installed every thing works fine. but there is build in some other hardware... who knows...

but please: solve this bug!

The solution was found, and the fix will be released with the next update which will include over 15 other fixes. 8)

That is great that you found the Bug. Do you have a ETA on the update? I have been using the old 2005 till 2006 is fixed. Thank for a great product and keep up the good work.

v7.2 has recently been released, and is now available.

However, there will be a small fee to update from 2005 to the 2006 version.

This fee includes all future updates for the 2006 version as well.

No further updates will be available for the 2005 line of products.
