Suggestion for improving HTMLPad

Suggestion for improving HTMLPad.
When you open a file in HTMLPad with the split preview (of choice) already open and adjusted like the code window is 1/3rd wide and the preview 2/3rds wide.

There's a separate sub forum for feature requests: viewforum.php?f=1.

I totally agree — remembering the last split preview layout would be super convenient. It would save time every time you open a file and make working in HTMLPad feel more seamless. Hope the developers consider adding this feature!

Hello,
The most effective fix for HTMLPad would be implementing Global Workspace Persistence, where the 1/3 to 2/3 split ratio is treated as a universal UI setting rather than a per-file reset. By making the divider position "sticky," the editor would maintain your custom proportions across all tabs and new sessions, eliminating the need to manually resize the window every time a file is opened. This could be further enhanced with Layout Presets, allowing you to snap the preview to specific widths with a single click or hotkey.
