FTP Upload

Post by Ishikawa Tanaka »

Servus!

The feature is very cool. I like it a lot.
But it seems, there is a problem in it.
When doin it, WebBuilder adds a Whitespace to the name ...
Can you help?

Does it do it every time? What version of WeBuilder are you using? (Help -> About)
Is it when you edit files via FTP, or upload new files, etc?
Have you an example of a file you're trying to upload? It might be something to do with your Country location, but not sure.

Please make sure that

1) You have set ASCII extensions correctly in FTP options

2) Files were saved to FTP using WeBuilder, not some other program. Other programs sometimes incorrectly upload text files.

So once the file is uploaded correctly as ASCII file, there should be no further problems.

Hallo

and thanks for your answers.

I wanted to upload the file in binary mode so I deleted every file types from the ascii list. Thats true, but i won't help to put them in.

All I do is the following (no matter if ascii mode enabled or not):

1: Open a first file (in this case css)
2: Press "Save and Upload File to FTP"
3: Open a seconds file (in this case css)
4: Press "Save and Upload File to FTP"

Now I have a file name "main.css ".
It's the same with all my files. It seems to work for the first time but then gets confused :)

Or is it simply a TryOut Limitation? I just payed last week still don't have a license.

I am using the latest tryout: Version 7.1 (7.1.0.67)

I hope you could understand my english and I helped you to help me.

Ascii files (CSS, HTML, PHP, CGI, etc) should not be uploaded in binary mode, as they won't be correct. However, that doesn't solve or explain your issue.

Couldn't replicate your problem with the version of WeBuilder I have.
