Toolbar Find

Post by syrupcore »

I think I may have run into a bug but my computer has also been weird lately. Can some one else try this out?

If I have set 'multiline' in the Find dialog, it seems like the the toolbar find doesn't work. or rather, it seems to search for the previous search. once I open the full find dialog and turn off 'multiline' the toolbar search behaves as expected.

hopefully that made enough sense to replicate. ;)

Thanks,
Will

Can't replicate it here. Whats the exact steps? I've got my HTML document, pressed the toolbar find (which opens the same dialog as the 'full find' - so unsure what you mean by toolbar find - find next/previous?) and searched for a word. Thats works, so search for another word, which works again.

Thanks chris. Talking about the little find drop down that's right on the toolbar. perhaps called 'quickfind' or something? just to the left of the binoculars on my layout.

Aah yes - never used that before. Yup, replicated here, so I confirm it doesn't work. How bizarre! Weird little 'gotcha'.

Chris that little presentation was pretty neat. Thanks for looking into this! w3c suggests no more than a single h1 per page though. ;)

Sorry to hear it's a bug but relieved my computer is not possessed.

Wink is pretty handy: (and free!)

I guess because that Quick Find doesn't appear in a menu, there is no way to assign a shortcut to it.

I will check that out, for sure. thanks.

I'm always buggin karlis for a shortcut to that box. mostly just continuing the tongue-in-cheek nag. :) Good point re: menu though. perhaps I'll leave him alone for a few months. ;0

Excellent presentation. I'll try to address this in the next release.

About shortcut, I will see how easy/diifficult is it to do.
