RapidPHP lagging?

Post by OmeCloak »

Hi all,

I recently purchased RapidPHP because its a good program.
But now i am using it on a regular basis, and it 'lags' a bit.
Whenever i'm moving around the code, it delays a bit.
very annoying!
i dont have this problem with any other program on my computer.
It *looks* like it has something to do with the highlighting i think.
Anyone else noticed this?

We need more info - how many files are open, what features are active, where are you clicking, how big is the currently open file, how fast is your PC etc. Thanks!

yeah sorry, should have typed that in the first post ;)

My pc is a 2.8G p4, 1 g mem, running xp sp2 EN.
Geforce 4 128MB, 2 monitors both @ 1280x1024x32

It happens when i have one file open, or 10 files, doesnt matter.
Length of the source is also no issue, (until now) max # lines are less then 100.
I'm gonna try various startups tonight.. Safe mode, minimal programs running, etc
Ill let you know.

Regards, Michel.

p.s. seen my post about the .net stuff?

Ok, I will be waiting. Although this seems very weird, because it should not normally happen and I have never seen such behavior on any of PCs running this software.

Post about .net? Please drop a link ;)

One thing to check is if you're using files on mapped drives and having network connectivity issues. I've experienced this before when working with files on a network share and the link drops. WeBuilder will hang for a few seconds and then be fine.
