XMl/XSL/XSLT Support

Post by JGrubbs »

We have been doing alot more XML, XSL and XSLT lately. I think it would be great to add support for these in a future release of WeBuilder.

I do a lot of XML/XSLT coding too and I'd like to see support for this improved. A couple of these would make it much more productive to code.

1. Automatic pairing of tags in XML.. e.g. you type out <address> and it automatically adds a </address> afterwards. This would be really helpful.

2. XSL file type document available when you select "File > New"

3. Automatic real-time syntax-checking, you get an error message as soon part of the code is not XML compliant. OxygenXML has this and it's a fantastic feature. It basically totally eradicates the need to do bug-checking as errors are highlighted straight away. I'd love to see this feature.

4. Auto-complete for XSL tags and properties (eg value-of, template, apply-templates)

XML/XSLT is big news and it's getting bigger, so it'd be great to see WeBuilder add more functionality and support for it.

I'll third that request. The more CMS work we do, the more XSLT work I do.

What CMS are you using? Ours is totally XML/XSLT based! :)
