Can one use an alternate DOCTYPE?

Post by AndyS »

I need HTMLpad to use a custom DOCTYPE located in C:/Program Files/.../.../myapp.dtd to validate custom tags.

Is there a way for me to do this?

Tried variations on:
!DOCTYPE html SYSTEM "C:/Program Files/APP/APPBuilder/dtd/myapp.dtd"

You may type that doctype by hand, but the editor will not support your specific doctype, because it does not have doctype reader built-in, so it works based on pre-installed doctypes.

You may still work with such HTML file, however the auto-complete and other features will not adjust to your doctype, but work as if it was HTML 4.01 instead.
