No way to connect to MS SQL or Access in SQL Explorer?

Post by wall33 »

Is there no way to connect to a MS SQL server database or an Access database? Is there an undocumented solution? Is this a future update? :(

Sinche the MS SQL does not provide native driver, it is not possible to connect to it :( At this time we do not plan to support it, however version 2007 shall support MySQL 5 and the new Firebird and Postgresql

That's a shame, seeing as all my DB work is with either MS SQL or MS Access.

 I'd love to include MSSQL support, however a) it is not financially feasible, because most web developers use either MySQL or Postgresql or something else. b) the present solution does not technically allow to add MSSQL support, however I'll research this further.

That would be much appreciated!

Even if you could only support MS Access that would be great. I do most of my proto typing using Access. I can also link Access to an SQL DB on back end.
