I am a HomeSite user who is testing out WeBuilder. I was using Zend for a while because it supports foreign characters while HomeSite does not, but I don't like Zend, so here I am. So far, so good.
My question is, is there a way to get foreign characters to display while editing with Courier New as my font? The only font I can get to display Asian characters is MS Gothic, an unattractive font in which to code. In Courier New, the characters show up as little boxes.
Suggestions? This is the primary reason I am looking for a solution besides HomeSite.

Hm, very weird. Please let me know what kind of foreign characters do you mean? It looks like the Courier New font that you have does not have these characters available. Though theoretically Win XP should come with fonts for all the main languages except languages like Chinese and Japanese. If you need these, you must install appropriate language packs.
Maybe you can get Courier New replacement font that does support your language characters?

It's Japanese and Korean, actually. I can see these characters fine when I edit in Zend. I have Zend set edit in monospaced UTF-8, which displays Courier New for everything except the foreign characters. I don't know what is used to display the foreign characters, but I see them. Maybe it just knows to substitute in MS Gothic or something when necessary and uses Courier otherwise? Not sure. I don't think there is a version of Courier New with Japanese and Korean characters included.

I'am a chinese. In china some software company is bankrupt due to piracy . the fact can't change in a few years, but some years later the government will find it is too late to check piracy once is has been let out .the most popular Forum software, for instance http://www.discuz.net have to supply services instead of product itself.
the most popular PHP editor is Editplus and Zend in china.
maybe Delphi for PHP will replace them.
