Homesite-style UNDO option

Post by kokoglen »

I have switched from Homesite to HTMLPad and am mostly happy.
One thing that I don't like is that UNDO does 1 character at a time. In homesite, it seemed much more natural to group undos into blocks. Often, I will hold control-z down for about 30 seconds to roll back to where I started to try some bad branch.

It just seemed more natural the homesite block way. Maybe it could be an option?

Thanks.

We are currently working on this. The problem is that undo is a part of our editor which is a third party software, so the code is a mess and it is taking us already the second year to figure this out, but there is a progress :)

Hi,

I would very much appreciate a fix of this behavior. what is more, a history-feature (like in eg Dreamweaver) would be nice.

cheers, drjee

Upcoming major version will have the Undo/Redo functionality improved.
It will work for characters in groups: words, white spaces, symbols.
Kind regards,
