"Find in Files" results window no longer visible
The "output" window at the bottom of the screen, where find results from "Find in Files" are normally displayed, has disappeared! Find runs, but no results appear.
I've tried reloading the default layout and restarting Rapid PHP (and Windows), but this window is permanently gone.
I think this started after I ran Rapid PHP and it put up an error message during initialization that said "Window has no scroll bars". Everything else seems to work.
Do you have a way to get this window back? I need it!
Thanks

Thanks Will.
I'm sure that the View/Messages option is right way to control the output window, but when I toggle that option on and off, all that happens is that the separator line above the document names tabs (at the bottom) moves up or down by one pixel. I guess that my Messages window has degenerated to only one pixel high -- and I can't resize it.

I could not find the layout control files to manually delete them as you suggested, but I was able to delete all layouts (including the default layout) from the View/Manage Layouts... menu.
After that, the original default layout was restored, and I can see the Find in Files results in the Messages window again.
Thanks for your help!

Find in files results window missing
Hi, I've got the same problem - but deleting the .lay files does not fix the problem. Any ideas? Should this be reported as a possible bug?
Thanks, Chris
Thanks, Chris
This should definitely be considered a bug at some level, but the key to the workaround described above is deleting the layout files *after* closing the program. If you delete them while inside the program, they will come back when you close and re-open it. I had the same problem and that was what I had to do to get the message panel back.
Changed FIND behavior in latest WeBuilder release?
(I didn't save my older copy of WeBuilder but...) If I recall correctly, the behavior has changed slightly from the older release to the new, to wit:
Before, in "Find in Files", the Message window showed, in each case, a small snippet of the code line in which the search target was found.
Now, all I see is a file name. No code snippet.
I have investigated, and see no item in "Preferences" whereby I may control this behavior.
Is this a change or, heh, heh, just a memory lapse on my part?

Hmmm...
It wasn't a "regular expressions" search...just a plain ol' search in files with types *.htm in the current folder ...so I guess I will carefully inspect my current Preferences and try to determine where I have "gone wrong"! Thanks!
