Javascript Comment/Block Comment

Post by Bbob »

I've been looking though the menus and don't see a way to comment out a section of Javascript (e.g., with the // or /* */ ).

Am I missing something or is there a way to add this in?

Thanks,

Bob

Indeed there is currently no JavaScript comment. We will try to do something about this in the future.

I would like this feature as well. What I would really like is a language specific feature that uses the current languages comment (// or /* */ for Javascript and C#, REM for VB, etc.) whenever this action is selected.

moving to feature requests...

I too would love to see one command that was language aware. that'd be fancy.

for now, you might try two things.

1) snippet to the rescue!
2) if you make your own toolbar and drag the html comment to it, it will work in javascript (or any language)

to make your own toolbar:
1. right click on the toolbar area and select 'customize' from the bottom of the menu
2. click new and name it
3. your new toolbar will (likely) be a small, empty box floating on your screen
4. In the customize box, click the commands tab
5. Scroll down to HTML on the Left
6. From the right, drag the comment command to your new toolbar.

voila, <!--comments anywhere. -->
