crash of webuilder

Hi,

when I locally open a html which contains a java-applet and try to preview this file webuilder crashes . Locally opening the file in a browser (e.g. internet explorer 7) works well

It worked on our WinXP and Vista computers alright. So it looks to be specific to your combination of software/configuration. Maybe you can try to upgrade/downgrade your Java to see if the problem is caused by a particular Java version.

it works now -but only sometimes

thanks for your reply. It works now with some applets but not with all. I still have crashes of webuilder regularly. If you want I can mail you a test-set. These crahes happen even after upgrading to the latest java runtime 1.6.0_01

I suspect that this is caused either by Internet Explorer ActiveX over which we do not have any control or by Java engine (the same applies).

workaround for now would be if you want to preview Java applets, use the external preview or the FireFox preview.
