one more vote and agreed.
it was charlesroper on Wed May 10, 2006 10:38 am which suggested this.
let me make a small case for this solution, just because I can and I have time to kill
allowing the normal use of the context menu in the filebrowser, like in the folderborwser, solves this and other file-handling issues. For instance: I have a very extensively worked out "send to" menu and am at times quite annoyed it stops working on files in WeBuilder, especially since it DOES work on folders.
This would also immediately, and without too much hasstle on your end, enable SVN/CVS and other file-version related support . And the best is: only for those who need it! Those who don't need it also don't get the free extra webuilder source-code and hooks that would otherwise be included were you to build it INTO webuilder..
Also, chances are that when you use any of the version control servers you have tortoise or similair installed. If that's the case words like "redundancy" and "resource wasting" come to mind when thinking about implementing it in WeBilder..
Lastly, where I work I see mostly Eclipse around me. When I mention Tortoise I get funny looks. But I actually see people opening up Eclipse only to add an image to the repository. All my efficiency glands then scream at me in pure horror....

sorry about that...

Support for TortoiseSVN support
Having just discovered Subversion and finding it invaluable I'd like to add my vote for TortoiseSVN integration into WeBuilder.
Being able to see the overlay icons would be nice, but as stated previously not a show stopper. Simply having access to the TortoiseSVN context menu in the files window would be a real bonus.
Thanks for a great IDE.

at the risk of being heritical....
I know that svn is popular, but I believe that there is a better alternative. certainly it is good to add support for it, but please don't limit RapidPHP to only supporting svn.
As for Microsoft Visual Source Safe, I have spent a lot of time using it and it is buggy as all heck, and I have had it corrupt my code. so thanks but no thanks, I keep as far away as I can from Microsoft''s endless piles of buggy krap.
What I have done is spent a considerable amount of time installing the various source control programs and reading their docs. I am not totally satisfied with any of them. But at the end of the day... I found that in my not so humble opinion, the best all-around version control system which has the most flexibility etc. is bazaar vcs. it is fairly new and so is not as well known as some of the others, but it is an excellent program. It does an especially good job of dealing with renaming of files and folders, and in handling binary files. which are essential things that most vcs's fail miserably at.
I am currently using bazaar simply by adding some of it's commands to the Tools Launch menu, but this is limited, it would be nice to have a higher level of integration.
