Hello,
on my ftp is a file called index.css for example. its also on my local pc. When i upload that file to my ftp space htmlpad is always asking me wether it shall overwrite that file or skip it. How can i adjust the ftp settings that the file gets always overwritten automatically to get a better workflow?

Manage a project, and edit the FTP settings for that project. When at the "Browse FTP" window that lists the FTP connections of the left side, click on Options in the top right.
Simply un-check Display Overwrite Prompt and you are good to go!
