WeBuilder>weblink manager: Can I link to Local files usi

Post by 222fbj »

I added an entry to the Weblink Manger....
  • Title: HTM+CSS Links
    URL: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/222fbj/My%20Documents/+REF-Web%20Dev/WebBkMrks.htmfile:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Barrett%20James/My%20Documents/+REF-Web%20Dev/WebBkMrks.htm
When I open this link (via the Help Menu) I get a Windows panel asking where to MOVE the file. Can/how do I link to local files?

thanks

Looks like that URL contains more than one link - each entry can only contain 1 link.
Also, the 'URL' must a file as far as Windows is concerned, so remove the 'file:///', reverse the slashes, and replace the %20 with spaces. So, the first URL would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\222fbj\My Documents\+REF-Web Dev\WebBkMrks.htm

Hope that makes sense.
