The file explorer keeps flickering, irregularly but frequently as if it is refreshing itself. If I have scrolled down a long subdirectory list it will even jump the file explorter window back up!
I have attempted to identify any other program that might be interfering by running windows task manager over the top to see running processes (ordered by CPU use) but it appears that RapidPHP is the only programme with any activity at the time of the flicker.
This is both visually distracting and quite debilitating when needing to search within the file manager - any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
PS. I'm running Windows XP

That has been my suspicion. I have attempted to identify something else that is doing file type activity by observing the running processes using Windows Task Manager but to no avail. I might have to start knocking off TSRs to try and identify the source.
Is there any way I can put RapidPHPs file manager into a manual refresh mode?
Thanks for your help.

At the present moment there is no manual refresh. Although you are the second customer in two years with this kind of problem, that is not enough to justify adding special option. I hope you will manage to find and eliminate the problem. Good news is that we plan to revamp the file explorer in 2008, so maybe the problem will go away.

Anyway, heres the third and fourth!
Ok, we have the same problem, because we usually work with a VPN connected to our server. Every time we focus the editor, it seems the FE needs several seconds to rescan the folders.
any workarounds from u would be great.
is it now enough justify for u to make a nice sprecial option for us?
