special chars

Post by parcley »

to add a request that i've run into: it would be great if there was a feature to that scanned the document (like the spell check) only it converted all the special characters like trade marks, copyrights, etc to their respective special character or entity (user specified). it would parse the document and effect only the text outside of tags.

Currently you already have the Tidy and special char conversion for the selected text. What's wrong with select-all for the text? It won't harm HTML tags, it does not convert < and > symbols.

I meant Ctrl+A and then doing the Chars to Entities or the other way.
