Color schemes for editor

Post by HerrK »

Different color schemes for the editor would be great. For example I want to try working with a black background, but I have to change every single color setting. And if I don't like it, I have to change everything back.

Geetings from Vienna ;)

Thanks. An interesting opinion. At this time I am not planning such feature, however there is workaround. you can use settings export to backup your settings and later restore them, this will save you time when you decide to return to old settings.

I agree that color schemes would be better, but at this point I can not give it a priority. But we have all the time in the future :)

I was just starting to experiment with changing the background color of the editor to black wondering if would be easier on my eyes. I stopped pretty much immediately because the background color of each 'colorable' element is set to 'default' which is white.

Is there a way to set the default background color of all of the sub elements in the list to whatever you've set the top element's (named 'default' in the list) background color to be.

or

can the 'default' background color just be transparent?

Is there a text file I could edit to accomplish this now?

Thanks,
Will

Now you can easily apply color settings (e.g. background color) to all elements. Click the Advanced button.
