FTP Error

Post by dave521r »

Suddenly I can't connect using ftp using Rapid PHP 2007. It simply says FTP Error. It was working yesterday. I'm using Norton but it says that it allows all permissions to php.exe. This is not a change, it has always said that.

I can ftp to the same servers using a browser or using ws_ftp or the windows ftp client.

I've tried reinstalling the latest version of Rapid PHP, still the problem.

I have searched the posts here but find no hints other than to turn off the firewall. I have turned off that part of Norton but the problem is still there.

I have two other computers on the same home network and Rapid PHP ftp works fine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Windows firewall is off. Turning off the Norton firewall or not allowing Norton to even startup doesn't help either.

FTP Error

Here's the solution from Blumentals

You can enable FTP passive mode under the project settings.
Project=>Manage Projects=>Edit=>Select (panel Publishing Settings)=>Options=>enable check-box "Use Passive FTP mode".

They have been very helpful with this problem.
