Can't Move the Taskbar

Post by Vandulus »

I'm using WeBuilder version 8.2 on XP Pro SP2 32 bit and can't seem to move my taskbar any more! When I hover over the left edge and get the four way arrow, it won't let me drag the toolbar anywhere else. I've tried deleting the layout files, but I still can't move the damn thing. I prefer having it at the top and this worked in version 8.0 and 8.1 . Any idea of why I can't move it?

I dug around a bit more in frustration and figured out it's either a bug with the dxMarManager component you're using or a setting that needs changed. I opened up the Default.lay file in a text editor and changed the DockedTop setting to 1 and DockingStyle to 2. I couldn't see the toolbar then, but after a restart it reappeared at the top and is now moveable. I don't know if this was an intention change, but can you make it moveable once again from the GUI?

Have never had such problem in 5 years. Seems like a rare random glitch.
