Hi Dave,

This is a long running problem, a quick search will find you the other posts.

When I first got WeBuilder I used to get the error very regularly, but now it's a lot less it happens.

Sorry I meant to supply version info...

WeBuilder 2007 - 8.3.1.81
Windows XP SP2

Also the error does not close the program - I seem to be able to continue working.

cheers, Dave

Karlis: When we release 2008 beta, we will include error reporting and debugging tool, so you will be able to report this right away and we will know what it is. Hold on, please, for a while.
However, if you can tell the exact steps we need to take in order to reproduce the problem, please let us know and we will fix try to fix this as soon as possible.

Thanks Gatis,

Nothing specific at this stage - from memory I was just cursoring down the page - but next time it happens I'll be more diligent & note what I was doing.

A few notes...

Post by WereCougar »

I've been experiencing this problem as well. Here's some notes:

1. Turning off the Code Explorer pane eliminates the problem for me.
2. Turning off Auto Switch Language in the CE pane also eliminates the problem.
3. I tend to work on mixed PHP/HTML pages, but I only get this error when my cursor is moving around in the HTML portion of the page.
4. My pages are never "well formed" since the DOCTYPE, HEAD, and other essential HTML page elements are hidden away in header/footer include files.
5. Moving the cursor seems to trigger it, not typing any code.

It's almost as if some HTML validator is kicking in, seeing the page is "messed up", and not knowing how to handle it.

Just to let you know that we are working on some major improvements that will decrease the amount of A/V errors in one of the upcoming updates.
