Upgrade Issue - no Export option in Options?

Post by dmet »

Hi folks,

Trying to upgrade from HTML Pad 2006 (version 7.4.70) to Web Builder 2007 that I just pruchased.

I want to save my snippets and settings, and the instructions on this site say:

The steps are pretty the same as when moving to another computer:

1. In version 2006, on the Options menu, click Export Settings.
2. Please carefully read the instructions displayed after you click Save.
3. Copy the files containing your settings in a safe place.
4. Uninstall the old version and install the new one.
5. Restore settings from the backup as previously instructed.

However, in my HTML Pad 2006 v 7.4, in the OPTIONS menu there is NO "Export Settings" option. :x

Am I overlooking something? Any ideas?

Thank you for any feedback.

Obviously this command is hidden on your menu. To see all the available commands, please go to Options->Customize Context Menu. The command "Export settings" should be located under category "Options".
To place a command from the Context Menu on your Main menu toolbar, you must select it and then *drag* to your main menu. You can place it under Options, or leave on the toolbar at the top of the editor.

Thank you very much Gatis!

I feel silly for not realizing that I needed to actually drag & drop the option into the menu (and for posting this in the wrong section of the forum... oops!)

We all are human beings and make mistakes from time to time ;)
I have moved the topic to appropriate section.
