shareware screen savers

hi can anyone help and let me know if it's possible to create a shareware screen saver as a download on a website and if so how is this done

Not sure about what is the question. Are you asking how to create the screensaver file or how to make it available via download?

Hi John,

Simply upload the screen saver file to your web host using any FTP package (I use the free FileZilla program)

And then link to the file in your HTML page:

Code: Select all

<a href="yourscreensaver.exe">Download screen saver</a>
(Change the file name to whatever you called yours)

how do you '' simply upload '' the file using Ftp? i've downloaded filezilla but have no idea what to do next...

The best thing would do to get help from somebody somebody who understands how to publish websites. Obviously you need to understand how to publish files to the web in order to publish anything.

Unfortunately this is beyond the scope. Try googling for "how to use ftp" or "what is an ftp" etc.
