I've come across what seems to be a weird bug. I've been copying and pasting some table cells from a Word doc into WeBuilder (v8.31). If I copy the whole cell (rather than just the content of the cell, i.e. so the whole rectangle is highlighted, not just the text), when I paste into WeBuilder the content of the other cells in the row is also copied across...
Just to be clear since you've only listed MS products, you've tested this with some non-MS software as well and find the behavior consistent with the exception of WeBuilder, or it only works consistently with other MS products? It may well be that there is standardized way of handling this which WB is missing, but I can't help thinking it's a screwy implementation on MS' part which they know about and are compensating for in their programs.RLN wrote:Except when I paste the cells into any programme other than WeBuilder (e.g. Notepad, another Word doc, Excel), it's only the selected cells that are pasted!

Just tested this with Word 2003 and WeBuilder 2007 8.31 and cannot reproduce the problem.
If I select a whole cell then copy & paste into WeBuilder then just the contents of that one cell are pasted.
If I select more than one cell then the contents of those cells are pasted as expected.
Seems to work fine for me.
What version of Word are you using?
And as Cary said, what happens if you paste into another non-Microsoft application?

I'm using Word 2003.
Just tried the same thing, but pasting into an old version of 1st Page I've got, and the same thing happened, so I guess it's a weird Microsoft bug.
Our office are upgrading to Vista soon, so hopefully this will fix the problem. In the meantime, I'll copy and paste into Notepad, then into WeBuilder!
