I don't know everything about how the "Lock files for writing" feature seen in other programs works, but here is my scenario and what I would like to see:
We have files on a network server (Windows) that is a mapped drive on each computer. When editing a file, it would be nice if Webuilder would "lock" the file so that noone else can write to the file while it is open on another computer.
Again, maybe I am completely ignorant on how these things work and it isn't even possible, or better yet it already works this way. We do hope to move to working from a CVS setup at some point, but this would be a great interim solution if it is possible.
