Hello,
When I use Flash in my screensaver,
does someone who wants to use/view it, need the flashplayer to do so?
Many thanks in advance,

question about the use of flash in screensaver
errors occuring if flash player isn't installed
Hi Karlis
my client requires a screensaver created from flash that that does not require the flash player.
i've tested a screensaver built with Screentime on both NT4 SP6a and Win98 SE and it worked perfectly if Flash is installed. however if Flash is removed (see link below) Nt4 produces a Dr Watson error, and Win98 produces an 'illegal operation' error.
can you shed any light on this please!?!
many thanks
glen

no flash? No play...
Hello again,
I just deleted the Flash-player from my system,
and now all the screensaver does is show a big white spot where the 'flash file' is supposed to be...
This is the case with Flash Player 6 files.
When using Flash 5 or lower, it does work!

You do not need to install Flash player, because screensaver setup / screensaver itself installs the Flash player upon first run.
Problems can occur if the screensaver or its setup is first time run on such systems like Windows NT, 2000, XP from non-administrator account which does not allow screensaver to install Flash player. Explaining error message is shown instead.
Also please note that there have been problems with this, but thay have been fixed in the latest versions, please re-download and re-isntall the product to have the latest version.
Also please report any problems of this kind to our support@blumentals.net email, so we can take a close look at your particular case.
