A tiny question about putting videos in screensavers

When putting an AVI video file in a screensaver, I assume the 'player/customer' will need the codec you used to compress the AVI with?

Exactly, thus I would suggest to use popular formats included with windows or in case you want to use some non-standard codec, inform users about the need to download and install additional codecs.
