dual monitor quirkyness

Post by jbjaaz »

Here at work, I'm lucky enough to have two monitors. Two monitors does wonders for how one works.

Anywho, when I first starting using rapidphp, I had the interface set up so that the "File Explorer" window floated in my left monitor while the rest of rapidphp was in the right monitor.

But if I’m coding away and an auto-suggest window pops up, the “File Explorer” window suddenly gains focus. So I have to grab the mouse and click the main application window so I can continue typing. Highly annoying.

Other than that, and some feature requests, awesome product. Keep up the good work.

Which version do you have?

It is a pitty that we do not have a dual monitor config here, so I am unable to test. Does this happen when the file explorer floats in the same monitor?

I have the latest version, 7.3

It does happen when the File Explorer window is floated in the same monitor.

Also, I realize I didn't explain the problem properly.

For instance, if you type

Code: Select all

if (count
the hint box pops up (for the count function) and all is good.

But, if I use CTRL+SPACEBAR to force the autosuggest box, thats when it happens.

For instance, I hit ctrl+spacebar, choose the "count" function and hit Enter. When I try to type, the focus is in the File Explorer window.

Dual Monitor Support: HTMLPad 200x

Post by websquad »

I was introduced to dual monitors at, of all places, my church, and became convinced that they can add significantly to the development process. So, my second monitor is scheduled to arrive on 2/14/07 ...

Are there any plans to add multiple monitor support to the next release of HTMLPad 2007, or is it in 2006 and I've just not found it?

WeBuilder 2006 v4

Post by wsamoht »

I am having the same trouble in version 4 of webuilder. After the auto suggest window pops up and I select the code I want to insert the focus goes to the File Explorer. I am using two monitors and it does it even if File Explorer is in the same monitor as WeBuilder. In Version 3 it seems to work fine.
