Syntax check always returns success

Post by jhudson »

Ths is the latest raphidphp 7.4 i think it is i just downloaded it yesterday so it is the latest.

I tell it where my php.exe is (5.02 or 5.20) latest version of php at any rate, also just downloaded yesterday.

No matter what kind of weird php code I type in, when I do a syntax check, it always comes back clean.

Example:

I can type:

Code: Select all

<? echo(''aldfjldfjldfjasldjf") ?>
And apparently that is valid php..

This is on Windows Vista Ultimate RTM.

Is there a known issue with php and vista?

This is because php returns OK. WeBuilder completely relies on php.exe interpreter for checking the syntax.

Try all other kinds of errors. If it does not detect them as well, me may start to worry.

On my Win XP, that code fails (using the php check within WeBuilder 7.2), so it can't be php.exe causing issues. Well, thats on php 4.4.4 (so fairly old...)
