FTP File Explorer

Post by bdrake »

I really like RapidPHP, but one thing that keeps me with HTML-Kit is the way the File Explorer FTP window works.

In HTML-Kit the ftp file pane is a tree view from the root of the server, and stays open and active, even when the connection is closed. Performing any action that requires an active connection will automatically re-open the connection, but the tree structure is cached locally, and you can browse around without delay, and without having to move up and down the directory tree. It is also always easy to tell where you are in the tree and what the currently active directory is.

With the RapidPHP ftp pane, there doesn't even seem to be any indication what the current directory is, so when I connect, I often have to go up a level and back down to see what directory it went to upon connecting.

Any chance of this improving in the future?
