Do i get a notice when the new version for a free update to 8 is out?

3.Will Webuilder support smarty tags color coding? (tpl files)

Maybe, but I'd still suggest to check forums for info/news.

2.Can i convert my PHP color-coding-settings to webuilder?

Yes, you can, but it is not easy. You must export appropriate registry keys to a text feg file, edit this file and import it back. If you are good at registry editing, this can be a solution.

3.Will Webuilder support smarty tags color coding? (tpl files)

Not soon. However, with the new version, syntax parsers will be open for editing, so probably somebody will create such syntax parser script.

4.Any release date on Webuilder v.8 yet?

No. We never porvide release dates, because we simply do not know when we will manage to finish the work. I can tell only that it will be soon.

Not really :( sorry, not yet there :) But you can change existing ones and I guess there is a worakround. I am not sure how easy is the parser script editing going to be for you, it is really complax and you can test it only by trial and error, however it should be not very complex even for a beginner to add a new reserved word, for example.
