WeBuilder 2007 - still no external preview

Post by rajenkins »

Hi,
I've just got the new WeBuilder 2007 (8.0.0.75), having been using RapidPHP 2006 for the last year.

This still has the same 'The software is not yet configured for previewing PHP files' page if I try to configure a remote server for previewing.
(i.e. mapping with same FTP path as [working] save-to-ftp and full [working] http:\\www.external.site URL.)

It still says at the top of this page 'but you must have a local or remote web server to publish your PHP file'
And again:
'Note: If you use remote web server, you must always upload/save your file to corresponding FTP account before previewing it.'
The files are uploaded and the URL works in an external browser...

I will carry on using save to FTP & refreshing whichever browser I'm using to view the site, but it would be really good to have the built-in preview actually work with an external site, or at least for now state clearly it only works with a local web server...

I remember updating this exact feature. Are you sure that mappings are correct?

I am interested in this, please send us the exact mappings and, I'll have to ask for the FTP password as well (read-only access is ok). Send these to software[at]latnet.lv

Thanks!
