Close Icon on the Toolbar and X in the File tab

Post by clarkedesign »

Hi,

As we are all getting used to having multiple tabs in Firefox and Internet Explorer, we are also getting used to a small X on the right of each tab to close it.

It would thus be intuitive to have this for each file that you have open in WeBuilder, so that closing file tabs would be nice 'n' easy.

Yes I know we can right click a tab and choose close, but......

Also you cannot add a Close icon to any toolbar. Why ?
Every function in every menu should be available as an icon in a toolbar if required.

Thanks
Sean

Hi Sean,

Please use the search feature before posting - this topic has been covered a lot. Many of the threads are still on the front page.

You can add a 'close' button to the toolbars.

right click on a toolbar
select customize
select the commands tab
select 'window' on the left
chose 'close' or 'close all' on the right and drag it to your toolbar.

Personally, I assign a shortcut (ctrl+w) to the 'close' command. much faster than mousing about for me.

hope it helps,
will
