Automactic Changes

Post by fredyyv »

i've downloaded the webuilder demo and downloaded my css file from my server to make some changes. how come it doesn't automatically show any changes that you've made? i'm also trying out css stylemaster and it automatically shows you the temporary changes that you make. Is this possible with rapid css?

In the preview window, it should show a 'live' preview of your CSS:

The screenshot was taken from WeBuilder, but Rapid CSS should work in the same way.

Are you not getting a preview, or is the preview not updating, or is it some other error?

i get the live preview of the css file. i don't think i did a good job of explaining myself, so i'll try again. in the other software demo that i'm testing, i have my css file in the top pane and my actual live website in the bottom pane and my css properties on the right side (similar to rapid css/webuilder). but as i'm adjusting my css properties on the right side i can instantly see the changes on my website in real time with i'm typing in property values. that lets me see if i like the changes i made before i upload it to my server to finalize the changes. i was trying to see if rapid css/webuilder had that capability b/c i like this software better but this feature is very crucial in my decision to buying rapid css/webuilder.

I do not know what do you mean by "adjusting my css properties on the right side". If you mean the inspector panel, then I must say it should refresh the CSS preview. It would be better if you could send us a screen shot so that we can actually see what you mean. Thanks!

yes, i meant the inspector panel. but my question is simply this. am i able to see instant changes on my preview file (my actual website) when i'm modifiying the css/html code without clicking a preview button.

Yes, but your website must be local HTML file and you must select this file as the preview file. Click the folder icon to do this.
